The fascia is the board along the edge of the roof that the gutter is fixed to. On most older homes it's painted timber, and keeping it painted means scaffolding or a long ladder every few years. Once the paint fails, water gets into the timber and it starts to rot.
Fascia cover is a folded Colorbond profile that clips over the existing timber. The best time to fit it is when the gutters are being replaced, because the old gutters are already off and the fascia is exposed.

What if the timber is rotten?
Fascia cover protects sound timber. It doesn't fix rotten timber. We check the boards when the old gutters come off, show you any sections that need replacing, and quote that before we go any further.
Common questions
Can fascia cover be fitted without new gutters?
It's possible, but the gutters have to come off to fit it. In most cases it makes sense to do it at the same time as gutter replacement.
