When a repair makes sense
Repairs are the right call when the problem is local and the rest of the gutter is sound.
- One or two leaking joins
- A loose or broken bracket
- A downpipe knocked off the wall
- A blocked or undersized outlet
When replacement is better value
Replacement makes sense when the problem is spread along the gutter, because fixing one spot just moves the leak somewhere else.
- Rust along the length, not just at one join
- Holes in more than one place
- Gutters that have sagged and lost their fall
- Rotten fascia behind the gutters
- Gutters original to a house built before 1990
The hidden cost of patching
Every repair call costs access, labour and time. If a gutter needs repairing every year or two, those visits add up quickly, and water damage to fascia, eaves and walls costs more than the gutters themselves.
What we do
We look at the whole system, not just the leak, and show you photos of what we find. If a repair will last, we'll quote the repair. If it won't, we'll tell you why and give you a replacement price alongside it so you can choose.
